Carlson Elected Vice President of the
Americas
for Public Relations Organization International, Inc. (PROI)
TAMPA,
Fla. (June 28, 2006) – Bill Carlson, president of
Florida-based Tucker/Hall, Inc., was elected vice president for
The Americas Region of Public Relations Organisation
International, Inc. (PROI), the oldest and largest network of
independent public relations firms. Carlson was elected May 6
at the PROI annual partner meeting in Berlin,
Germany
and will officially begin his position on
July 1, 2006.
"Our
firm has benefited greatly from our involvement in the PROI
global partnership," Carlson said. "This is my
chance to add my management skills as part of the
international management team whose goal is to strengthen the
partnership through continued growth of PROI in the U.S.,
Latin America
and
Asia. Since PROI provides its partners a local public relations
presence in cities across the
U.S.
and the world, the partnership's growth will also broaden our
global presence for Tucker/Hall clients."
While
serving as PROI's vice president for the Americas Region, Bill
will continue to manage Tucker/Hall and counsel the firm's
clients in brand management, community relations and public
affairs.
Carlson
joined Tucker/Hall in 1994 and became the firm's president in
2003. He has extensive experience helping clients in the U.S.,
Latin America
and
Asia. He earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from the
University
of Tampa
and a master's degree in public administration from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. He also conducted MBA
studies at the National University of Singapore as a Rotary
Ambassadorial Scholar.
