Jeff
Tucker is the founder of Tucker/Hall. He is an accredited
crisis communications specialist. He specializes in
high-profile crises matters -- crisis communications
strategies, litigation support in both criminal and civil
matters, complex corporate matters such as whistle-blowing,
white collar crime and state and federal investigations (EEOC,
Justice Department, U.S. Senate, etc.) In addition, he
serves clients in the areas of corporate reputation management
and high-profile media relations.
Jeff is accredited by the
Institute for Crisis Management, Louisville, KY. He has also
completed the Harvard Law School/Consensus Building Institute
curriculum on negotiated settlements that requires competency
in dealings with multiple stakeholders using combinations of
communication strategies and community outreach. Some of
Jeff’s high-profile successes include:

Writing and executing a crisis
plan for Avianca Airline’s petroleum subsidiary in Bogota
when it was the victim of terrorism;

Developing reputation
management strategies for the largest hospice organization
in the nation while the organization provided end-of-life
care for Terri Schiavo;

Working with legal teams
involved in an on-going U.S. Justice Department and U.S.
Senate investigations into evangelical church groups in
America.
Prior to establishing
Tucker/Hall in 1990, Jeff spent two decades as a financial
reporter, columnist, editor and publisher. Tucker began his
career at the New York Times-owned Sarasota (FL) Herald-Tribune.
He was a business reporter with the Atlanta
Journal-Constitution, and he was a financial
columnist with the Journal
of Commerce, a division of Knight-Ridder newspapers
based on Wall Street. His work has also appeared in such
publications as Barron's
Financial Weekly, The Financial Times of London
and Institutional Investor.
Jeff is well known in media
circles in Florida as former Managing Editor and later Deputy
Publisher of Florida Trend
magazine, the oldest statewide monthly business magazine in
the U.S. While Deputy Publisher, Tucker was responsible for
Florida Trend Affiliate Operations, developing new business
and overseeing the marketing of Florida Trend books,
newsletters, customized conferences and syndicated radio
programming in Florida and Georgia. While he was Managing
Editor of the magazine, Florida
Trend won 60 state, regional and national awards
for reporting and graphic design, including three consecutive
General Excellence Awards as the Best
Regional Business Magazine in America given
annually by the Association of Area Business Publications in
Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Tucker has also served as Vice
Chairman of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Telecommunications
Task Force. He was a member of the Board of Trustees of the
Tampa Museum of Art from 1999-2007 and later was appointed by
two Florida governors to the Florida Arts Council, where he
was vice chairman from 2007-2009. He has been an advisor to
the Florida Council on Economic Education, the Florida
Turnpike Enterprise and he was vice chair of the Governor’s
Economic Advisory Committee 1999 to 2004.
He was educated at New College,
the state of Florida honors university (Sarasota, Florida),
New York University and the Wharton School of Business at the
University of Pennsylvania. He is a recipient of the Herbert
J. Davenport Fellowship in Economic Reporting at the
University of Missouri.
